![]() rolls make installation exceedingly fast. Rugged & Resistant – Super Six’s heavy gauge film resists tears and abrasion due to strong winds or rough handling during construction.Impermeable – Super Six assures that the full insulating value of the insulation is retained over the long term.Super Six sheets are normally loose laid onto the roof deck and then seamed together with Tape or an approved sheathing tape. Insulation must be either mechanically fastened or loose laid and ballasted. Super Six may be used over any type of deck (concrete, steel, wood). Super Six protects the roof insulation and membrane system components from the damaging effects of internal humidity. If a joint is formed of three layers of overlapping membranes, cut a 45° corner over a width of 4 in (10 cm) in the middle one.A polymeric vapour retarder specifically designed for use with single-ply roofing systems and as a vapour retarder for walls and ceilings. Overlaps should be offset by least 18 in (46 cm). Our recommendation is approximately 1/8″ of bleed out of the Elastomeric Sealant from the overlap in order to ensure proper coverage and protection. To butt joint two strips of SELF-ADHESIVE GRANULATED CAP SHEET – MEMBRANE SA CAP GR OR SA CAP FR GR, allow a 6 in (15 cm) overlap by first applying the ELASTOMERIC SEALANT to cover the granulated part of the membrane to be overlapped. The granulated surface must be covered in Elastomeric Sealer and then rolled to bleed out of the endlap. The overlap must be positioned on the upper side of the slope. The ungranulated part of the membrane (selvege edge) (approximately 4 in ) should be used to ensure a good overlap between each strip the ungranulated surface is provided for this purpose. This step will also prevent swelling, creases and fish mouths. Immediately apply pressure on the membrane using a metal or hard rubber roller to obtain complete adhesion between the substrate and the membrane. Remove the protective film from the SELF-ADHESIVE GRANULATED CAP SHEET – MEMBRANE SA CAP GR OR SA CAP FR GR Note: All nails must be covered with a membrane. When the slope is rather steep (3:12 and above), this step is strongly recommended. ![]() This can be done using roofing nails or 25 mm (1 in) round top nails every 305 mm (12 in) at the end laps before covering them with the next membrane strip. Since it is impossible to predict the temperatures to which membranes will be exposed in these conditions, it is recommended to mechanically fasten the membranes. Self-adhesive cap sheet membranes could be affected by poor ventilation when they are installed directly onto a wooden deck with ventilated attic space. Install the membrane horizontally, starting at the bottom of the slope. ![]() ![]() SELF-ADHESIVE GRANULATED CAP SHEET – MEMBRANE SA CAP GR OR SA CAP FR GR ![]()
